Following in the
footsteps of last year's very popular "If a Tree Falls
in the City" exhibit, wood from one of the most beloved
parks in Wausau has found its way into the CVA's
galleries with "Art FROM the Park", a new tree-cycling
art exhibition. As some of Marathon Park's oldest pine,
ash and elm trees die from natural causes, they take on
a new life as captivating artwork in our galleries,
showing off their distinctive woodgrain, whorls, knots
and shapes. From small bowls, pens and containers
to large tables, benches and installations; this show
and the many artists that participate, will surprise
you.
