Gallery

The Center for the Visual Arts is home to three professional gallery spaces exhibiting 16 shows each year. We work diligently to bring a variety of exhibits and opportunities to appreciate the beautiful art created by local and regional artists.

The Main Gallery hosts themed exhibits with the work of exceptional regional art work. All shows are organized by the Gallery Committee and have ranged from pastel landscapes and abstract art to bold larger than life portraits to tattoo art in recent years. The original art work exhibited is available for sale. Perfect for your home or business!

The Loft Gallery on the second floor is dedicated to exhibiting local community art. Beginning artists to professionals in the community are invited to share their passion here. Groups such as the Wausau Women's Community bring awareness to domestic abuse and sexual assault through exploration and expression in art. Students, teachers and volunteers get the opportunity to exhibit their work as well as local arts groups such as the Wisconsin Valley Art Association.

The Transitions Gallery is the CVA's first rentable gallery space!  Featuring the work of area artists, the gallery is in constant flux and features individual and group exhibits.  Are you an artist looking for a venue to begin exhibiting or selling your artwork?  Then the Transitions Gallery may be your answer!
