This exhibit is a succession of paintings that emerged after artist Katherine Rosing completed her artist residencies at the St. Croix Research Station in Marine on St. Croix and at the Trout Lake Research Station in northern Wisconsin. It looks to investigate the relationships between forests and watersheds, with a goal to make more people aware of the delicate relationships between the smallest unseen organisms and those creatures often overlooked or even feared. Rosing's studio practice also includes site-specific immersive installations that incorporate both two-dimensional and three-dimensional works which seek to make connections between forests and watersheds and the water cycle.
