Water Shields and Damselflies
Katherine Rosing
June 2 - August 12, 2023
Water Shields and Damselflies is a succession of paintings and works that emerged after the artist’s residency at the St. Croix Research Station in Marine on St. Croix, Minnesota, and at the Trout Lake Research Station in northern Wisconsin. The exhibit looks to investigate the relationships between forests and watersheds, with a goal to make more people aware of the delicate relationships between the smallest unseen organisms and those creatures often overlooked or even feared.
This exhibition is supported (in part) by the Women Artist Forward Fund and the Forward Art Prize.
Maps and Mazes
Sophia Parr & Ray Kaselau
June 2 - August 12, 2023
Sophia Parr pen, ink map maker, and cardboard sculpture artist Ray Kaselau use line and shape to visually and metaphorically move the viewer through space. Consider what lines you travel each day and how you would that would compare to a map or maze.
