In this course, the students will learn about tools and materials, the preparation of cuttlefish mold, and cuttlebone carving. The students will cast a piece of jewelry or a small object in brass.
Cuttlebone Casting is an ancient technique used in jewelry casting. The design is carved into the bone then the metal is melted and poured into it. It creates a unique texture on the surface of the jewelry piece.
All supplies included.

Occasionally the Center for the Visual Arts (CVA) may find it necessary to cancel a course or workshop due to low enrollment or other scheduling conflicts. If this occurs, registered students will be contacted and allowed to transfer to another class or be refunded the full course tuition and any additional fees.
