If you love food, and love to draw, you will love this class. We’ll celebrate the fall season with a focus on still life and food, while learning different techniques to fill your sketchbook pages with mouth-watering art. Find out why this is a favorite subject matter for so many sketchers!
Each week, and each session, will feature different drawing and watercolor exercises, along with practical tips that will encourage and inspire you while developing a creative habit. With weekly sketchbook assignments, you’ll be excited to do your homework. Whether at home or on the go, you’ll soon discover how the practice of keeping a sketchbook journal not only promotes the growth of your art, but most of all, how therapeutic it is for your soul. Each participant will receive their own sketchbook to keep. All supplies included.
Instructor Bio: Curious by nature, Nancy Laliberte is a painter who is also a wife, mom, grandmother, gardener and avid traveler. Blessed with a busy life, Nancy has found watercolor sketchbook journaling to be a great way to practice art in the midst of the many seasons of life. Wherever she goes, she brings her sketchbook, pen, and paints to capture the everyday beauty of the world around her. She has participated in the Sketchbook Project, and her sketches are also included in the book, A World of Artist Journal Pages by Dawn DeVries Sokol. Her largest creative endeavor, The 100 Project - 100 Days of Ink and Watercolor, was in a major two-person show, “Inside Out,” at New Visions Gallery in Marshfield, WI.
